Think about food. When hiking in nature, you need products that are light in weight, contain many calories and are suitable for long-term storage. Avoid taking fragile products or those that require refrigeration. Most tourist shops and websites offer a wide range of freeze-dried or ready-to-eat foods that are easy to heat up. Make sure you get more food than you need, in addition to snacks and two to three meals a day.
Do not get lost. The most common misfortune that can happen to a tourist is the opportunity to get lost. Do not go down the trail. Try to stick together. Do not change your route for no good reason. Do not break away from the group to cut the path. "Take only photographs with you, leave only footprints." Do not leave trash behind; take with you everything that you bring to nature. Do not root plants, do not move stones, try to leave the surrounding nature in the same purity as before your arrival.
If possible, start camping at least an hour before sunset. Equipping a camp in the dark can be a much more difficult task. Do not scatter food near the camp.
